Are you a kinship carer or have personal experience of the care system?
If you are struggling with household bills and basics this winter help is available.
The new Winter Aid Direct Offer can help provide support to get essential items such as food, warm clothing, nappies, heating, bedding, furniture and white goods. They can also offer a cash payment or help with an essential purchase.
There is no age limit for this offer and goods can be accessed by filling in this form.
Once completed, a member of Who Cares? Scotland staff will contact you within seven days to find out what support needed and how they can provide it.
Applications open on a weekly basis therefore you may have to keep trying if the application states closed when clicking the link above. (*please note applications were full within two hours of opening on Monday 8th February 2021).
The Scottish Government has provided Who Cares? Scotland with funding to help relieve the immediate impact of poverty during the winter period and because of COVID-19.
If you have any questions please contact your usual local Who Cares? Scotland worker. You can also contact the Who Cares? Scotland Helpline on 0330 107 7540 (email email@example.com ) on Mon-Fri between 12-4pm.
